Ascending, For a Change of Pace...

Lately, Wednesday afternoons have been spent with rather uneventful "tasks". For a change of pace, Dan and Justin took Easton and I along for an afternoon of bouldering, and a little taste of climbing. Knowledgeable and properly equiped "guides", Justin and Dan, didn't disappoint in showing us the basics. Having none of the proper equipment didn't stop me from having a wicked time. Who knew the seemingly rockless forests around here held random patches of barren rock slabs tall enough to climb. After the random rock slab session, we headed down to another spot that was on the beach. Although, we aren't to sure if we found the jems in the area. Nevertheless, there was still some fun to be had along the beach.

My Worst Fears Come to Fruition..

...on your average sunday afternoon. Airing a quarter has never been so scary...

Photo Mish

Up a logging road and into a clear cut. Easton and Dan (our neighbour) set up their gear and took some pics. This is Easton's batch- o-photos. Oh and we tried to make a fire with magnesium, wet sticks, and a flint... needless to say we failed...we'd never survive in the wild.

Goose Poop

Sleeping in until 11:30, thinking it's still pouring rain outside, I'm awoken by Easton telling me, contrary to my train of thought, that it's beautiful weather out and that we should go to the skatepark. Upon arriving at the skatepark, we have a pretty good sesh... only after a mysteriously large amount of goose poop, that spans all around the park, is shoveled away. Props go out to the brave soul who nominated himself to sweep it all! After that, we head over to Wendy's for some lunch. Although the chili is tasty, I'm always afraid to know it's ingredients... something about a large cauldron full of sloppy, chopped up food makes me SLIGHTLY suspicious. Easton suggests we work on our trail re-route. I warmed up by finishing up a section of trail I had been working on by doing some rather pretty landscaping. Easton did the same on his section. Then we headed over to a new section to continue grubbing and "broadcasting" all the organic material from the marked out section around a rotten tree stump. Eventually it'll be a nice 180 degree turn.... someday. Someone "up there" is keeping me on my toes... on the drive home we were taking in a super epic sunset only to be brought back to reality to a dog running in front of the car. NO I didn't hit him. :)
